Ready to make a splash?
The Central Coast Council offers a range of fantastic community facilities, including a 25-metre-long swimming pool.
This pool is owned by the Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP), who operate the venue exclusively during school hours for school group use. Outside of school hours, the pool is not open for casual public entry — access is available by private booking only, including before/after school, evenings, weekends, and most short school holiday periods (excluding the extended Summer holiday break). Community bookings are strongly encouraged during these times.
Bookings
The Council regularly hires out the Ulverstone Community Swimming Pool for functions, party bookings, family groups, youth groups, clubs, and organisations.
Cost: Pool hire for 2026 is $120 per hour.

*Please submit requests at least 2 business days ahead of your preferred booking time to allow for confirmation of facility and staffing availability. Booking requests made with less notice cannot be guaranteed.
Pool facilities
- 25m six lane pool, with a shallow end 0.8m and deep end 1.8m.
- Caters for recreational swimming, lap swimming, learn to swim or leisure activities.
- Male/female change rooms and heated showers.
- Free car parking.
- Qualified lifeguard in attendance for each booking.
- Average air temperature of approx. 30°C and water temperature of 26°C.
- Please Note: there are no break-out spaces at this facility and food or drink, including birthday cake, is not permitted on site.
