1. No entry is to include a Santa Claus. The Apex Club of Ulverstone will arrange for a Santa Claus to appear on one float only.
2. The Parade is a fun family event and discriminatory or vulgar comments or displays; insulting or offensive content is prohibited.
3. Children under the age of eight (8) are not to ride on floats or participate in the Parade in any way without direct adult supervision.
4. All vehicles and trailers used in the Parade must be roadworthy, able to be manoeuvred through streets and corners and must be registered in accordance with Tasmanian transport regulations.
5. No potentially dangerous activities to be undertaken on any moving vehicles or float.
6. Standing persons on vehicles will be permitted with sufficient protection provided around the sides, or in special circumstances if cleared by the Club. Standing persons on trucks, utilities, trailers etc with open sides is strictly prohibited.
7. Moving vehicles with people standing on them will be subject to inspection. As a guide, normal trailer mesh sides or the use of two high stacked hay bales is acceptable.
8. No object should extend more than 4.8 metres above ground level.
9. Vehicles must only stop in an emergency or as directed by Parade Marshals.
10. Skateboarding, rollerblading or scooter riding is not permitted in the Parade. Bicycles will be permitted provided the entry is a recognised group and appropriate safety equipment must be worn.
11. Giveaways are welcome, however the practice of throwing items including lollies is strictly prohibited.
12. Soliciting for donations is strictly prohibited.
13. Entrants are to comply with all directions given by Police Officers and Parade Marshals before, during and after the Parade.
14. The Club reserves the right to position each entry in the Parade as it sees fit, giving consideration to content, theme and possible impacts upon other entries.
15. The Club reserves the right to refuse entry at any time prior to the commencement of, or during the Parade should an entry fail to meet adequate public safety standards, fail to comply with the conditions of entry, interfere with the overall running of the parade or for any other reason the Club or a representative of the Club may reasonably decide.
16. Weather contingencies and updates will be communicated through Council and Apex channels.
