Fire Hazard Reduction
Each year, fire hazard abatement notices are issued to properties in NOV/DEC identified as posing a potential fire risk due to overgrowth of scrub, grass, or weeds. Property owners are given a specified timeframe to address the issue, or the General Manager may take action to abate the hazard at the owner’s expense. Non-compliance may result in fines of up to $2,000. For more information, contact the Community Services Department.
