Art Gallery (Level 1) – The Silent Connection
In this stunning exhibition Tasmanian textile artist Cindy Watkins uses silk and cotton as her paint and the sewing machine as her brush to celebrate the beauty and importance of trees while emphasising the need for their protection.
Display Case (Ground Floor)
- Quilts by Wendy Wilton and Mary Herbison showcases intricate designs, masterful stitchwork, traditional piecing and art quilting techniques.
- Beaches and the Coastline by Robyn Parker is a historic display that celebrates the charm of Central Coast’s stunning beaches, highlighting their role as habitats for native wildlife.
Ulverstone Museum (Level 1)
Explore the story of Granny Midgley of Riana in A Town is a Tapestry… and every person’s story is a stitch an exhibition that weaves together personal narratives from our local history.
Community History Archive (Level 1)
Get expert assistance with family and local history research from our dedicated museum volunteers (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 1-4pm).
Tasmanian Science Centre (Level 2)
Dive into hands-on science activities, from racing cars to creating ball races. Don’t miss the ‘Take Flight’ exhibit and the Albatross ‘Rookery’ craft project.
Ulverstone Planetarium (Level 2)
With Tasmania’s largest projection dome, the planetarium offers a program of incredible shows, including Moonbase: The Next Step and Planet Nine and our astronomer will explain what can be seen in the current night sky.
