150 Years of Penguin: Great Penguin Waddle

In 2025, Penguin, Tasmania will celebrate its 150th anniversary! To kick off the celebrations the Penguin 150 Committee is inviting kids and families to the Great Penguin Waddle.

On Sunday, 23 March 2025, from 2.30pm don a penguin mask and waddle, honk, flap, hop and dance along the Foreshore to the Penguin Playground! You can collect your free penguin mask from the muster point on the Penguin Foreshore opposite the Uniting Church.

After the Waddle, stay a while at the Big Penguin and enjoy a community celebration with a sausage sizzle, balloon artist, glitter tattoos and more!

This event is wheelchair and pram friendly. No registration needed.
