Cr Beswick is a lifelong resident of Ulverstone. He along with his wife Trudy operated a National and State award-winning building business based in Ulverstone for 45 years. He was awarded Honorary Membership of Master Builders Tasmania and served on the North West Management Committee, State Council and represented the housing sector on a State and National level. Cr Beswick currently represents the Local Government Association of Tasmania on the Tasmanian Heritage Council and the Heritage Council Works Committee.
In his spare time Cr Beswick enjoys cars, motorsport, sailing and skiing with his children and grandchildren.
