Public Question Time

Our Council values what the community has to say and welcomes questions at each monthly meeting during Public Question Time.  Council meetings commence at 6pm and Public Question Time commences shortly after the introductory and procedural matters on the agenda.

If you have something you’d like to ask of us, you can submit your question in writing prior to the meeting or ask in person at the meeting.  To submit a written question, please notify the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) by 9am on the Monday prior to the meeting.  This can be done in person at the Ulverstone Administration Centre or Penguin Service Centre, or via email to [email protected].  Please clearly indicate in the email that it is a question for the next Council meeting.

Responses to questions without notice will be answered by the Chairperson, which is usually the Mayor.  However, some questions might be referred to the CEO, a Director or a Councillor.  In some instances, questions might also require further research by Council and be taken on notice.  A written response will then be provided by the CEO within 10 working days.  All questions responded to at the meeting will be summarised in the Council meeting minutes.

If you are unable to attend a particular Council meeting and would still like to tune in, we live stream them via our YouTube channel.
