Central Coast Council is partnering with Burnie Works and neighbouring North West councils to support the 2026 Mission Australia Youth Survey.
The survey gives young people aged 14 to 19 the chance to share their views on the issues that matter most to them, including wellbeing, study and work, housing, cost of living, community connection and the future.
Now in its 25th year, the Mission Australia Youth Survey is Australia’s largest annual survey of young people. In 2025, more than 17,000 young people took part nationally, with cost of living, mental health, climate change and the environment, and housing and homelessness identified as the top issues of concern.
The aim is to hear from as many young people across the North West Coast as possible, so local councils, schools, services and community organisations have a clearer picture of what young people are experiencing, what they value and what support they need.
Young people aged 14 to 19 are encouraged to complete the survey before Friday 14 August 2026.
