This December, Christmas in Central Coast brings festive celebrations to Ulverstone and Penguin, led by local community partners and supported by Central Coast Council. Below is your guide to the key dates, entertainment and registration links to help you join the fun.
Apex Club of Ulverstone - Christmas Parade and Carols
Saturday 13 December – Ulverstone CBD & Sound Shell
The parade returns to its original extended route through the Ulverstone CBD from 4.30pm, followed by Carols from 7.30pm at the Ulverstone Sound Shell, with the program presented by the Combined Churches of Ulverstone, and a fireworks finale at 9.30pm.
Beloved Children’s entertainer and Golden Guitar winner Colin Buchanan headlines this year’s Apex Club of Ulverstone Carols by Candlelight – a highlight of the region’s festive season.
Expect a full evening of entertainment, food trucks, free family activities, free waterslides, helicopter lolly drop and more – capped off by a special appearance from Santa himself.
Santa & Friends - Apex Park, Ulverstone
Santa himself will be stopping by Ulverstone this December, giving families the chance to capture their own festive photos at Apex Park in the CBD. Parents and carers are required to bring their own devices to take photos.

Santa Slide Record Attempt
Saturday 13 December – Ulverstone Waterslide
Help set a new record for the most continuously sliding Santas at the Ulverstone Waterslide. Enjoy free rides from 5.00pm to 7.00pm, with the official Santa Slide Challenge starting at 5.45pm.
Every participant goes in the draw to win a private one-hour session at the slide, with a prize also awarded to the local club with the most registered Santas.
Borys Zagrocki Extreme Bicycle Stunts
Saturday 13 December – Bicentennial Park
Borys will be performing a stunt bike show between 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm at the Sound Shell.
Get ready for an adrenaline-packed experience!

Lions Club of Penguin - Christmas Parade and Carols
Friday 5 December and Sunday 14 December – Penguin
The Lions Club of Penguin will host two festive events this December. The Christmas Parade returns to Main Street on Friday 5 December from 7.00 pm, with floats, stalls, activities and a visit from Santa.
A week later, Carols by Candlelight will be held at Hiscutt Park on Sunday 14 December, 7.00–9.00 pm. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy an evening of music and community spirit by the foreshore.
Turners Beach Christmas Party
Sunday 21 December – Turners Beach
