Triobikes Bring Accessible Cycling to Central Coast

On Tuesday, 19th November, Mayor Cheryl Fuller launched a new chapter of Cycling Without Age in Ulverstone.

This wonderful program, celebrating connection and cycling, involves volunteers riding electric Triobikes to assist older Tasmanians and people with disabilities. Helping them get out, enjoy nature, and feel the wind in their faces.

Mayor Fuller was given the opportunity to experience the program firsthand, with Deputy Mayor John Beswick taking her for a ride along Ulverstone’s scenic shared pathways.

Starting at the Gnomon Pavilion at Ulverstone Wharf, the program will offer rides every Tuesday in December from the Connect Café, with future bookings available at other times.

This project has been coordinated by the Get Active interest group of the Central Coast Voice for Health with funding from Health Consumers Tas. With special thanks to the generous Motton forget-me-knots Group, from local village North Motton, who previously raised funds to purchase a bike.

For more information or to book a bike ride please call ‘Crusin’ the Coast, cycling done differently contact, Melissa on 6429 8959.

Don’t miss your chance to ride in style on the coast!
