We’re inviting community feedback on Central Coast Council’s draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP), which sets out practical actions to improve accessibility and inclusion across the region.
The draft has been shaped with input from Council’s Disability Access and Inclusion Working Group, bringing together people with lived experience to help guide the actions that matter most.
Building on the previous 2022 to 2025 plan, it focuses on improving access to services, facilities, public spaces and community life.
Community members can review the draft plan and share feedback until Sunday 17 May. Easy read documents and videos are also available to support people to take part.
There are a few ways to have your say:
- Visit My Central Coast, Council’s online engagement platform, to review the draft and complete the survey.
- Drop in and speak with the project team in Penguin (Senior Citizens Club, 6 May, 2.00pm to 7.00pm) or Ulverstone (Hive, 7 May, 10.00am to 4.00pm)
- Contact Council by phone, email or in person if you’d prefer to provide feedback another way.
Support is available for anyone who needs assistance to take part, and alternative formats of the plan can be provided on request.
The final plan is expected to be presented to Council for endorsement in June.
