2. Blast Off with Our New Planetarium Show: The Universe Through All the Senses

Experience space like never before! This fresh planetarium show invites kids to explore the cosmos through touch, smell, taste and sound, including what you might sound like on an alien planet.

With two daily sessions, an 11am All Ages show perfect for little explorers and a 2pm Family Show for ages 5 and up, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss out, tickets sell fast!

3. Rock Out at the Next Sound in Space Concert

Prepare for a cosmic music journey with Golden Sunbird, a psychedelic space rock band that will transport you to another galaxy!

Recommended for ages 16 and over, this event takes place Sunday 21 July with two electrifying sessions (1–2 pm and 3–4 pm). Let the music lift your spirits this winter.

From 9–17 August, Hive turns into a hub of mystery and discovery for National Science Week 2025! Unravel the secrets of the universe with:

Hive is fully wheelchair accessible, and the planetarium includes three wheelchair spaces. Companion Card holders are eligible for complimentary entry. These bookings must be made by calling Visitor Services on 6429 2839, as they are not available online. Please call even if sessions are sold out, as our wheelchair seating is reserved.
