With Christmas just around the corner, we would like to inform the community that Central Coast Council Offices and Services will be impacted by the 2025-2026 Christmas season. Changes to scheduled kerbside bin collection are also in effect for areas of West Ulverstone, Forth and Leith.
Kerbside Bin Collection Changes
Residents in areas of West Ulverstone, Forth and Leith, please be aware that there will be changes to the scheduled kerbside bin collection over the Christmas season.
Bins usually collected on Thursday 25 December (Christmas Day) will be collected on Saturday 27 December between the hours of 6:00AM and 5:00PM.

- Closes early at 2:30pm Thursday 18 December to enable employees to attend a meeting of all personnel.

Penguin Visitor Information Centre
- Closed Christmas Day.
Resource Recovery Centre
- Closes early at 2:30pm Thursday 18 December to enable employees to attend a meeting of all personnel.

- Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
Country Transfer Waste Stations
- South Riana Transfer Station closes early at 2:30pm Thursday 18 December to enable employees to attend a meeting of all personnel.

Works Depot
- Closes early at 2:30pm Thursday 18 December to enable employees to attend a meeting of all personnel.

- Closes 5:30pm on Friday 19 December, reopens 7:30am Tuesday 6 January.
Penguin OSHC Service
- Closes 6:00pm on Friday 19 December, reopens 8:00am Tuesday 6 January.
Forth OSHC Service
- Closes 6:00pm on Friday 19 December, reopens 7:30am Tuesday 6 January.
Ulverstone Sports and Leisure Centre
- Closes early at 2:30pm Thursday 18 December to enable employees to attend a meeting of all personnel.
- Closes 4:30pm Tuesday 23 December, reopens 8:00am Monday 5 January.
After Hours & Emergencies
All emergencies relating to roads, stormwater, parks and gardens, environmental (Resource Recovery Centre and Transfer Stations), recreation grounds, buildings and animal control during the closure period should be directed to tel. 6429 8999.

Cemeteries & Burials
Please contact your local funeral service provider should a funeral and/or burial be required during the Christmas and New Year period. With the Council Office closed from 2:00pm Wednesday 24 December until 8:00am Monday 5 January, arrangements have been made with the cemetery caretaker and your funeral service provider will have access to Council’s after-hours cemetery booking calendar and contact details to submit requests during this time.
