This planting season, Council staff have successfully planted over 120 advanced trees, made up of 35 different species, in Council parks and road reserves.

The Council considers trees to be a long-term investment and an important community asset that provides a multitude of positive benefits to not only our community and the outdoor spaces we occupy, but also our environment. The Council is committed to continually building on our existing tree population and looking for new opportunities for planting.

To ensure the long-term sustainability of our trees, the Council has a number of tree planting programs in place, including the installation of tree avenues along priority streets/roads; park tree planting; offering free nature strip trees to residents; and a tree replacement program, replacing trees that have required removal.
