Disabled and Disadvantaged Support

The Ulverstone Volunteer Group - Community Transport Service is an ongoing service provided to the frail, the aged and younger people with disabilities within the Ulverstone area.  Volunteers help clients transporting them to medical appointments etc., assistance with shopping and small group bookings for elderly.

Community Transport Service provide and maintain the vehicles for this very well utilised service to our community.

To contact the service for medical appointments or shopping, office hours are as follows:

Phone - 6429 8965  -  Mondays & Wednesdays  -  9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. 
      Fridays - 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.

If phoning outside these hours, please leave a message on the answering service.  Please include in your message:

  1. Name
  2. Phone number
  3. Date required
  4. Destination, i.e. Launceston, Burnie, Ulverstone etc.

A minimum of three days notice is required with all requests.  A volunteer will call you back to confirm details.
