Collection is between 7am and 4pm

East Ulverstone - Tuesday

Ulverstone - Wednesday

West Ulverstone - Thursday (except East of Queen St - Wednesday)

Penguin - Friday (except South of the South Rd overpass - Monday)

Sulphur Creek, Heybridge and Turners Beach - Monday

Gawler, Forth and Leith - Wednesday

Wheelie Bins and Recycle Crates Council provides a wheelie bin and a recycle crate to each residence. These must not be removed from the property.

What should NOT go in your bin

  • garden waste
  • lawn clippings
  • soil
  • concrete
  • medical waste

Recycling

What CAN go in your crate (please remove tops and rinse all containers):

  • Clean glass bottles and jars
  • Aluminium and steel cans and trays
  • Plastic bottles, food containers, shopping bags, garden pots
  • Milk and juice cartons
  • Clean used clothing, rags and shoes
  • Newspapers, magazines and light cardboard - (tie in a bundle and place next to your bin or crate for collection).

What should NOT go in the crate:

  • Light globes, window-pane glass, mirrors and drink glasses
  • Polystyrene, including meat trays
  • Pyrex, China
  • Engine oil plastic bottles

Disposal

Resource Recovery Centre Lobster Creek Road, off South Road

9am to 5pm - Monday to Friday
10am to 5pm - Saturday & Sunday

Sprent/Castra Transfer Station, Castra Road 3.5km south of Sprent

8.30am to 12 noon - Thursday
8.30am to 4.30pm - Saturday

Preston Transfer Station, Preston Road 3km north of Preston

8.30am to 12 noon - Wednesday, Friday and Sunday

South Riana Transfer Station, South Riana Road 3km south of Loyetea Rd junction

1.00pm to 4.30pm - Wednesday, Friday and Sunday

Sites are Closed on Australia Day, Easter Sunday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and all other public holidays.

Mulch is able to be purchased from the Resource Recovery Centre site when available
